Antique restoration requires cleaning that removes contamination without removing patina, original finishes, or surface character. Sandblasting strips everything indiscriminately. Chemical strippers dissolve original finishes along with contaminants. Manual methods are slow and inconsistent.
Laser cleaning gives the restorer control. Parameters adjust to remove specific layers (dirt, old varnish, corrosion) while preserving the layer underneath (original paint, patina, maker marks). This level of control does not exist with any other cleaning method.

Both. Small items can be brought to our facility or shipped to us. For large pieces, architectural elements, or shop quantities, we bring the laser to your location. Minimum job charge is $750 for mobilization.
Laser cleaning works on wood for removing old finishes, paint, and surface contamination. Parameters are adjusted for wood density and finish type. Soft woods require more care than hardwoods. We test on an inconspicuous area first.
